Mark McDowell

Mark McDowell is the co-founder of the Charlotte Fund, a venture capital firm dedicated to supporting and investing in startups in the Charlotte area. With over 30 years of experience as an investor and entrepreneur in digital technology, telecommunications, and software, Mark has a proven track record of identifying and fostering innovation. His expertise spans wireless, applied AI, robotics, and blockchain technologies.

Mark has served on the boards of more than 20 venture and private equity-backed companies, contributing to numerous successful financing rounds, mergers and acquisitions, exits, and IPOs. His leadership and strategic insight have been instrumental in advancing groundbreaking businesses across diverse sectors.

Mark holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees from MIT, solidifying his strong technical and analytical foundation.
