Ensuring You Have the Latest Version – Web-based programs like ForestView run from a copy of the software maintained by your web browser and stored on your laptop or desktop. The place where this program is stored is referred to as a “cache”. Normally, the program in the cache is updated automatically when a new version is available. Occasionally, however, that old version is not updated and is out of sync with the new version. You can easily fix this by telling the browser to update the program that is stored in the cache.

To ensure you are running the latest version of any web-based program:

  1. Launch the application from your browser.
  2. Hold down the Control key while pressing F5 (the function key at the top of your keyboard).
  3. Release the Control key.

You are done. The browser accesses the server and retrieves the latest version of the program.
